Our organization's name is in homage to the historic legacy of the Carolinas during the Revolutionary War.

 

General Andrew Pickens, a key figure in this era, referred to his soldiers as Highlanders, recognizing their resilience and adaptability in navigating the rugged terrain and employing innovative tactics that contributed to victory.
